An excellent opportunity to work for a market leader in the engineering sector who supplies in the automotive sector. The business is highly ambitious, and they are now recruiting for an additional Buyer to join the team. Based from their offices near to Stoke-on-Trent, the Buyer will support multiple global manufacturing sites. The role will work on a hybrid basis with the flexibility of working from home two days per week.

Your new role

The Buyer will be responsible for the procurement of a number of components, materials and indirect products used in the manufacturing process. The role will source goods from suppliers in the UK and internationally, negotiating on costs and terms, whilst ensuring quality and reliability of service. Additionally, the Buyer will oversee the end-to-end procurement process through to delivery, chasing and resolving any supply chain issues. The Buyer will continually aim towards cost-down optimisation, support supplier management processes and support NPI projects.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will be a Buyer with strong direct procurement experience gained within the automotive, manufacturing or engineering sector.
You will have expertise in sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management. You will be a strong team player, have great communication skills and be highly organised.

What you'll get in return
