**Experienced Senior Project Manager to join leading Global Project & Cost Management Consultancy**

Hays are working in partnership with a leading global Project and Cost Management Consultancy with over 70 years of integrated project and programme management expertise in the search for an experienced Senior Project Manager for their Belfast office, on a permanent basis. This local Consultancy are renowned for delivering a variety of £multi-million schemes throughout both public & private clients. Working closely with one of Northern Ireland’s most reputable public sector bodies, they now seek an experienced Senior Project Manager to join and bolster their stable management team.

Your new role

As Project Manager / Senior Project Manager, you will play a central role in making exciting and diverse projects a reality. Valued up to £100m, your projects will range across the infrastructure sector. Your new role will see you join a highly successful and established team of project and programme management practitioners based across Northern Ireland. You will play an important role within the team, working collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver high quality projects and technical excellence for clients across our key market sectors.
You will demonstrate a proven track record in delivering effective and efficient project management services to clients, ideally within Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. You will show a commitment to continuous improvement through learning and development, you will be eager to contribute, working collaboratively with our sector and service leadership whilst also able to own and drive initiatives that develop our business and achieve our strategic objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role as Senior Project Manager, you will require;
  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Construction and Project Management or a similar related discipline.
  • A desire to work towards becoming a professional member of a recognised professional institution (MRICS, MAPM or equivalent).
  • A positive, collaborative, and innovative approach able to work on your own initiative.
  • Effective leadership of project management services in a Client facing role.
  • Experience of building positive Client relationships and business networks.
  • Awareness of project management systems and tools in the successful delivery of projects.
  • Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams & delivering successful projects through a recognised project management methodology.
  • Sound technical project management knowledge demonstrating established experience and aptitude.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Well-developed written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to produce quality reports and documentation for senior managers and stakeholders.
  • Team leadership skills, with the ability to communicate goals, and engage and motivate colleagues.
  • Experience of administering standard UK building contracts (NEC and JCT forms) and ability to advise on appropriate procurement routes.
  • Effective review of contract documents including familiarity with contractual obligations, breaches, and remedies.
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety and Environmental legislation relevant to the UK and Irish construction industry.
  • Ability to organise and direct self and others.
  • Committed to ongoing personal development.
