Hays are recruiting for a permanent business development manager. This role is a field sales role but occasional days in the Manchester office is a necessity.
Your new role
You will be responsible for winning new business, implementing and developing new business. Your main focus will be on account management, managing customer accounts, through analytical, consultative and technical approaches. You will plan and carry out customer engagement strategies. You will deliver presentations, you will prepare and review high-level documentation, you will deliver financial reporting, build professional and sustainable relationships, you will record everything on the CRM system. You will forecast and plan the P&L, you will attend senior management meetings. You will engage in wider business business meetings, and support with any necessary projects.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a new business sales role is essential. You will be technically strong, you will have a proven record in B2B sales, you will have the ability to document, articulate and report on new business needs, you will be strong numeric, you will have excellent IT skills, you will be strategic, experience in the automotive industry is desirable.
