Your new company

A UK-based manufacturer, established in the early 1970s, specialises in castors, wheels, and materials handling equipment. Serving a wide range of industries such as retail, logistics, and manufacturing, the company offers products including sack trucks, pallet trucks, and workshop cranes. Privately owned and supported by an investment group, it has recently expanded its operations through the acquisition of a regional distributor.

Your new role

  • Plan and conduct regular visits across the designated territory to support the development and maintenance of an effective marketing presence.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service consistently, ensuring client satisfaction at every interaction.
  • Proactively generate enquiries and diligently follow up on quotations to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining healthy profit margins.
  • Stay up to date with product developments, including new launches and updates to existing offerings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the CRM system, including visit notes, pricing agreements, and terms.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all quotations within the assigned area to maximize conversion rates.
  • Prepare a monthly report covering key metrics such as area turnover, new customer acquisitions, project updates, and forecasts for the upcoming period. Provide additional reports as required.
  • Minimize returns and credit notes by ensuring customers receive products that meet their expectations and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the wider sales team to prioritize and pursue high-potential leads and customer opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong focus on new business development, targeting both existing clients and prospective customers.
