Hays are recruiting a Senior Marketing Assistant - Pitch Support & CRM on behalf of a new global industry-leading law firm in Belfast.

Your new role

As Senior Marketing Assistant you will work closely with the Belgium and Paris Business Development and CRM managers, providing day-to-day support for all pitch related and CRM activities. You will work closely with other business development and marketing team members and with other support areas such as Finance, IT and HR. Responsibilities include:

  • Proposal materials - producing first draft proposals, pitch presentations and credential statements, in line with brand guidelines and quality standards. Ensuring all proposal information is uploaded to the central CRM system in a timely manner.
  • Data management - capturing and maintaining all relevant matter information from fee earners in the relevant practice groups, publishing marketing descriptions and ensuring all CVs are up to date and accurate.
  • Marketing collateral - working with relevant BD manager(s) to update credential documents with significant deals/experience, awards, personnel etc.
  • In conjunction with the Pitch Support Team, maintaining a library of pitch tools and guides.
  • Assist with opportunity capture, reporting and maintenance of pitch content when required.
  • Supporting the Marketing and Business Development function with other pitch outputs as required.
  • Supporting the Marketing and Business Development function with the region’s directory submission process
  • Producing client-related research and analysis including: client strategy, client structures, financial performance, key contact mapping, competitor activity, developments in the client's markets and client needs analysis (to help identify leads and opportunities), monthly reporting on client financial performance, recent relationship activity, pitches, meetings etc
  • Supporting with financing and invoicing activities for the Belgium office.
  • Supporting the organisation of client specific events, entertainment and client training
  • Developing and distributing internal communication for the Belgium Business Development team (e.g. disseminating client-specific market intelligence, internal updates, financial reports etc)

What you'll need to succeed

  • Graduate with a strong academic background, preferably in Marketing/Business, or with equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • High attention to detail as well as excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, multitask (especially urgent requests) and work well under pressure (while adhering to deadlines)
  • Strong time management skills
  • A hunger to learn and take on all tasks that will aid in the learning, including keeping up to date with legal and commercial developments relevant to the product areas and sectors
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and generate ideas
  • Eye for design/creativity (e.g. for presentations, proposals and events)
  • Strong client focus
  • Sophisticated communication skills and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
  • Experience of working in a similar role in a professional services environment (law firm or other professional services provider is preferred)
  • Knowledge of a law firm and relevant product areas would be advantageous.
