An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading international organisation as a Finance Business Intelligence Analyst on an initial temporary basis, with the expectation of becoming permanent after approximately 3–4 months.
This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Finance, FP&A, Business Intelligence and Data Analytics, offering the opportunity to transform how financial and operational data is utilised across the business. You will play a key role in automating reporting processes, improving data quality and delivering meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
The Role
The business is investing heavily in data-driven finance and is looking for an analytically minded professional who can help move reporting and forecasting processes away from manual spreadsheets toward intelligent, automated BI solutions.
Working closely with Finance, Controlling and operational stakeholders, you will develop dashboards, automate reporting processes and provide the analytical tools required to support budgeting, forecasting and performance management activities.
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining finance knowledge with technical BI and data skills to deliver tangible business improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive automation of manual finance and reporting processes.
- Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Consolidate and transform data from multiple business systems and sources.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning activities.
- Build financial models and analytical tools to improve business insight.
- Develop data structures that improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Deliver variance analysis and performance reporting to key stakeholders.
- Identify trends, risks and opportunities through data analysis.
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams to develop actionable insights.
- Support the ongoing development of business intelligence and reporting capabilities.
About You
- Degree educated.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or qualified by experience within a finance analytics environment.
- Strong Power BI experience is essential.
- Advanced Excel skills including modelling and data analysis.
- Experience with SQL, DAX and database querying.
- Knowledge of Power Query, Power Pivot and Power Automate.
- Experience supporting FP&A, Finance or Controlling functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to communicate complex data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience of SAP and financial reporting systems would be advantageous.
