Building Surveyor- Reactive Maintenance 11-month contract with potential T2P- £33- £37 per hour umbrella

Your New Role

As a Building Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing and specifying day-to-day repairs, conducting stock condition and measured surveys, and managing contractors to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. You’ll work closely with the Senior Building Surveyor and use your expertise to advise on legislation, health & safety compliance, and cost control, while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with clients and residents.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience in housing maintenance within a Local Authority
  • HRA experience
  • Strong knowledge of building construction, pathology, and legislation
  • Practical surveying skills and familiarity with health & safety regulations
  • Ability to manage contractors and resolve disputes
  • Commercial awareness and cost control capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and surveying software
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills
  • Full valid Driving Licence with access to a car
  • An HNC in Construction would be preferred
