You’ll be joining a business that genuinely invests in its people, offering industry-leading tools, structured development pathways, and a culture built on diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning.

Whether you're looking to deepen your technical expertise, take on leadership responsibilities, or work on landmark projects, this is a place where your ambitions will be supported and your contributions recognised.

Your new role

As an Associate Building Surveyor, you’ll take a leading role in delivering a wide range of professional and project-based services across commercial real estate portfolios. You’ll work with high-profile clients on complex and rewarding instructions, including:

  • Building surveys for acquisition, occupation, and investment purposes
  • Contract administration for refurbishment, fit-out, and defect rectification projects

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategies and reporting
  • Defect analysis, diagnosis, and specification of remedial works
  • Schedules of Condition, Licence for Alteration reviews, and project monitoring
  • Preparation of specifications, schedules of work, and standard building contract forms
You’ll also play a key role in mentoring and supporting junior colleagues, including a graduate and apprentice based in Glasgow, helping to shape the next generation of surveyors.
The role offers a high degree of autonomy, with flexibility around inspections and hybrid working, while still being part of a collaborative and high-performing team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • MRICS qualified with strong commercial building surveying experience
  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver instructions from inception to completion
  • Excellent technical knowledge across both professional and project-based surveying
  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Project is advantageous
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Full UK driving licence

This role offers a highly competitive package designed to attract top talent:
  • Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience
  • £6,000 car allowance or access to a company car scheme and salary sacrifice options
  • 25 days annual leave + 2 additional days at Christmas + bank holidays
  • Hybrid working model with flexibility around inspections and core hours (e.g. adjusted hours for childcare/school runs)
  • Private healthcare for you and your family
  • Dental insurance, critical illness cover, and travel insurance
  • Life assurance for you and your partner
  • Gym membership and diner card perks
  • Cycle to Work scheme
