HAYS Property & Surveying NI are proudly working in collaboration with a highly respected, established multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for a building surveyor to join their Belfast team. This organisation plays a pivotal role in delivering complex building and infrastructure projects across Northern Ireland and beyond, with expertise spanning across most, if not all, the built environment and construction commanding a significant presence within the marketplace.
Due to continued growth, our client has an exciting opportunity available for a building surveyor to join the growing team in Belfast.

Your new role

We are seeking an ambitious Building Surveyor looking for a rewarding career journey. This is a great opportunity for a talented individual to join and strengthen a successful client-focused team and to contribute and share in the exciting journey. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach to the role and demonstrate a track record of delivering excellent customer service, promoting knowledge and best practice across projects and achieving successful outcomes for clients.

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or similar technical discipline
  • MRICS or membership of other relevant professional body
Experience
  • Strong technical delivery experience
  • Good knowledge of JCT Contracts
  • Track record in project management of projects from inception to completion
  • Evidence of working with multiple stakeholders
  • Previously employed by a consultancy
  • Experience working with teams and managing projects by prioritising workloads and delivering deadlines
Behaviours
  • Ability to successfully manage complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner
  • Excellent specification writing skills
  • Client facing, ensuring a high standard of technical delivery
  • Able to build long-term relationships
