Responsibilities:
- Conduct thermal, daylight, and energy modelling to optimise building performance.
- Analyse building materials and construction methods to enhance energy efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate building physics principles into design projects.
- Perform simulations and assessments to ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance on sustainable building practices.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients and project teams.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in building physics and sustainability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Building Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in building performance analysis and simulation.
- Proficiency in software tools such as IESVE, EnergyPlus, or similar.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and sustainability certifications (e.g., LEED, BREEAM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certificate in building physics or a related discipline.
- Experience with renewable energy systems and their integration into building designs.
- Knowledge of advanced simulation techniques and tools.
