Plasterer - Multi Trade Operative | Birmingham | Repairs & Maintenance | Up to £27.00 per hour

Your new company

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plasterer to join a leading Housing Association operating across the West Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for ongoing work within the social housing sector, with the potential for the contract to be extended or become permanent.


Your new role

As a Plasterer, you will be carrying out a variety of repairs and maintenance works within both occupied and void social housing properties. While plastering will be your primary trade, you will also be expected to undertake other general repairs associated with social housing maintenance where required.

  • Carrying out all aspects of plastering repairs and maintenance.
  • Working within both occupied and void residential properties.
  • Completing patch plastering, skimming, rendering and associated repairs.
  • Undertaking minor multi-skilled maintenance tasks where required.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Delivering excellent customer service when working within tenants' homes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance is essential.
  • Ideally hold a recognised qualification in Plastering (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Ability to carry out additional maintenance works associated with social housing repairs.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Own van and tools preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.

What you'll get in return

  • Up to £27.00 per hour
  • 40-hour working week
  • Mileage paid at 55p per mile for business use when using your own vehicle (excluding normal commuting mileage).
  • Potential company van provided at a later date.
  • Ongoing temporary contract with the possibility of extension or a permanent opportunity.
  • Immediate start available.
