A great opportunity for a bookkeeper to join a successful media production business in London

Your new company

You will work for a thriving, family-run media production company with a reputation for creativity and excellence. They are looking for a reliable and adaptable bookkeeper to join their close-knit finance team, playing a vital role in supporting the business’s continued success.


Your new role

  • Purchase Ledger Management: Process low-volume supplier invoices and make adhoc payments.
  • Sales Invoicing: Raise and issue occasional sales invoices, ensuring timely and correct billing.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Journal Entries: Post journals including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation.
  • VAT Returns: Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC deadlines.
  • Entity Oversight: Take sole responsibility for bookkeeping and reporting for one business entity whilst providing support across six additional entities as needed.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Assist with other finance-related tasks and projects as required
  • 9:30am-6pm Monday to Friday - 5 days in office during probationary period with flexibility to work 1 day from home per week following successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role in a small team.
  • Sage 50 experience is essential
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and VAT.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Down-to-earth attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
