Who we are?

A charity that cares for over a million objects and hundreds of historic sites in every part of England, from international icons to local treasures, is seeking a DevOps Engineer at their Swindon office. The role is remote with occasional travel to Swindon.

Where you’ll be working

This is a hybrid role with a flexible approach. You will be working from home and occasionally from the Swindon office. We can agree on a mix that works for you, so please ask if you have any concerns about location.

What you’ll achieve with us

You will:

• Build, test and maintain Azure infrastructure and tools so that software can be developed and released safely and efficiently

• Automate aspects of software development, testing and release

• Review our existing Azure infrastructure and recommend improvements

• Manage CI/CD tools

• Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve. Work with the team to support test, deployment and integrity of new products and features

• Participate in code reviews, retros and demos

What you’ll be doing as part of the team

Essential Experience -

• Proven experience in a hands-on DevOps role

• Expertise in a broad range of Microsoft Azure resources

• Knowledge of security best practice within Azure

• Experience of container orchestration framework administration and deployment

• Experience with agile, scrum & cross-functional teams

• Expertise in monitoring and alerting services and platforms

• Experience of container-based CI/CD tooling
