Microsoft Fabric, data migration, SQL, dashboard development, stakeholder engagement

Your new role

We’re seeking a talented Power BI Developer to support a major data migration and modernisation programme within a Microsoft Fabric environment. This is a hands-on role focused on transforming legacy SQL-based systems into scalable, cloud-first solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within a Microsoft Fabric environment, focusing on:
    • Data warehousing
    • Data lakes
    • Migration from SQL-based systems
  • Lead dataset migration and reporting activities aligned with the broader data strategy.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure reporting solutions meet business needs.
  • Contribute to a major lift-and-shift and modernisation project.
  • Support issue reporting and resolution across data platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to roll out training and monitor adoption.
  • Develop eLearning modules to improve user understanding and engagement with Power BI tools.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in Power BI development and data visualisation.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Fabric, data lakes, and warehousing concepts.
  • Experience in migrating datasets from SQL-based systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to create intuitive, impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Familiarity with eLearning tools and training rollout is a plus.
