BI Developer (HR)

I am working with a large Birmingham-based company who are looking for a BI Developer with experience in a HR environment. They heavily support the learning and development of all employees, engaging you at every stage of your career. Complimented by on the job learning, their formal courses also support people to excel in their role.

This role will be offering up to £50,000 p/a with a hybrid working policy (3 days on site, 2 days working remotely).

The Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and automate Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights and tell stories with the data.
  • Utilize DAX and PowerQuery to transform raw data into meaningful visualizations and HR metrics.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to understand data needs and deliver solutions, providing management information and support for key decisions around the employee lifecycle, D&I etc.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity, especially when handling sensitive HR information.
  • Work with SAP Success Factor and our Data & Analytics team to integrate HR data into Power BI.
  • Provide training and support to team members on Power BI and data analysis best practices.
  • Support the rest of the team by dealing with requests from the business, ad hoc reporting and analysis.


Skills and experience

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of HR-related projects.In-depth knowledge of Power BI, DAX, and PowerQuery.
  • Experience with SAP Success Factors is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills and excellent knowledge of other Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for data and continuous learning.
