As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in monthly management reporting. Your responsibilities will include preparing accurate and comprehensive monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. You will also prepare and post journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and assist in the audit process. Additionally, you will support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and continuously review and improve finance processes and controls. This role is office-based in Blackburn and is offered on a fixed-term contract of 12 months.

To succeed in this role, you should be part-qualified or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, with a BA/BSc degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. You will have 2+ years of relevant experience in management accounting or a similar role, with a proven track record in preparing monthly management accounts and financial statements. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, such as SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and organisational abilities are also required. The ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and take proactive steps to address them will be key to your success.
