Hays Senior finance is working with a well respected accountancy firm based in Sheffield. This organisation offers a wide range of services, including Audit, Accounts and Tax and boasts a diverse portfolio of clients of varying sizes.
Your new role
The main responsibilities in this role include;
- Deliver high end, quality audits adhering to auditing standards and provide non-audit services.
- Prepare annual accounts with knowledge of UK GAAP
- Engage in the preparation of forecasts, grant applications, audits and financial due diligence
- Achieve departmental and individual performance objectives
- Manage client related tasks such as budgets, WIP and timely billing
- Maintain the highest technical and professional standards
- Understand the client needs and key risks to think strategically, provide additional guidance, deliver results and manage expectations
- Monitor, control, coach, train and develop staff to enhance their knowledge and performance
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to have experience working in a practice accountancy organisation or in an audit position in the industry. Experience auditing within education is beneficial, as would a professional qualification such as ICAS or ACCA. You will need strong technical abilities and communication skills.
