The Tax team work with clients across a broad spectrum, from high net worth individuals through to large corporates and not-for-profit entities. The team has an international presence and offers standard compliance services through to delivering on some exciting projects of an advisory nature. You will get exposure to a portfolio of business clients and will undertake work including corporate tax compliance, and a range of advisory assignments, including (but not limited to) corporate reorganisations, business sales and acquisitions, tax due diligence, share incentives, R&D tax and other ad-hoc projects.

The role
As a Corporate Tax Manager you will have ownership of the following tasks:
- Controlling own portfolio of clients, monitoring WIP and client costs
- Planning jobs, instructing juniors and their reviewing work, ensuring the provision of constructive feedback at all times
- Undertaking and supervising tax compliance and advisory work so that it requires final review only
- Providing effective tax planning advice to clients, both direct to clients and through Audit and Accounts team portfolio managers throughout the firm
- Displaying pro-active awareness of current relevant legislation, compliance standards and potential advantages, relating them to client situations
- Assisting with proposals and presentations to potential clients
The person
You might not have all of the experience below, but if you meet the minimum criteria and are passionate about developing yourself, I would love to talk to you
- CTA qualified with over two years post qualified experience (minimum criteria)
- A tax background including both compliance and advisory experience (minimum criteria)
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients and providing tax planning advice
- A thorough understanding of UK taxes that apply to small and medium sized enterprises & their owners, in particular companies and individuals
