Audit Associate Job, Manchester, £26K - £30K with study support and career progression at top 10 firm
Your new firm
You will be joining a leading accountancy firm, that have strong national presence along with specialist local knowledge, with expertise in audit, tax, advisory and risk. This is the perfect opportunity for you to work within a globally renowned firm, working with a varying portfolio of clients to build and further your current experience, whilst working within a talented team and gaining stability within a role. They are located in modern offices in the heart of Manchester, which is easily accessible by the tram. This job has arisen due to internal organic growth within the firm and wants to expand.
Your new role
You will be a part of a team of experienced audit professionals, providing a high-quality assistance to clients who you can both learn and develop from daily. Your day-to-day roles will consist of you assisting audits as well as learning how to plan and run them, having your work reviewed by your peers. You will be working with a varying portfolio of clients, allowing you to gain specialist knowledge in your area of audit. Other duties include delivering client-based assignments and working on advisory engagements with audit and non-audit clients.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you must be part qualified in your ACCA/ACA qualifications, being a finalist / nearly qualified is desirable. Experience in Audit in an Accountancy practice is required, along with experience of accounting packages and software, ideally Xero and Caseware. Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and FRS 102 is also required. Having been involved in any stage of an audit is required, having worked from planning to completion is highly desired.
