Audit and Accounts Senior, Manchester, £30k - £40k DOE, at a leading Independent Practice

Your new firm

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a well-established, growing firm based in Manchester. With years of experience and establishment, they specialise in departments ranging from audit and advisory to tax and more. In terms of their clients, they have a varying portfolio, including sole traders, OMBs and limited companies for you to extend your current knowledge on. Due to ongoing internal growth within the practice, an audit and accounts senior job has arisen, where you can further both your already existing audit and accounts knowledge and really develop yourself within a firm.

Your new role

As part of your new position, you will be taking a strong position in the team where you will be involved with both audit and accounts work, where you will see a split 50/50 role. You will be involved with leading audits from planning through to completion whilst supervising and providing feedback to audit assistants. In terms of the accounts side of the role, you will be involved with accounts preparation for non-audit companies, reviewing accounts preparation and, again, assisting and training juniors in this department. Client contact will also be a major part of the role, acting as a point of contact for clients, assisting them daily with any needs or enquiries.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be either ACCA/ACA qualified or at the final stages of the qualification (QBE is also considered). You must possess skills showing your competency with market knowledge as well as having a wealth of experience within an accountancy practice, over 3 years specifically. Personal qualities such as motivation, team-working and organisation skills will be required whilst being able to perform in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be offered a competitive salary ranging between £30,000 to £40,000, dependant on experience, whilst having the opportunity to be a part of a leading firm with huge potential to develop and really see your career grow. Along with this, you will also be offered benefits including flexi working hours, study support if you are a finalist and many more benefits upon employment.
