Regional Operations Manager, Courts, Full-time, Temp to perm opportunity

You’ll be joining a leading facilities management provider, delivering essential services across a high-profile custodial contract. With a strong focus on compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction, the company supports the operation of multiple prison establishments across a defined region.
Your new role
As a Regional Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational and financial performance of multiple prison establishments within a regional FM contract. Reporting to the Account Manager, you will be responsible for delivering revenue targets, ensuring statutory compliance, and leading a team of Site Managers to achieve service excellence.
The role requires you to cover Bristol and Worle Magistrates courts (3 Courts).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Financial & Operational Leadership:
- Develop and deliver annual business plans and budgets in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
- Manage the annual work schedule and ensure delivery within agreed financial targets.
- Drive compliance with health and safety regulations and internal operational standards.
- Promote continuous improvement and ensure consistent use of systems and processes across all sites.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Understand and anticipate client needs, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Foster a culture of customer-centricity and maintain strong relationships with local HMP teams and subcontractors.
- People & Performance Management:
- Lead and support a team of Site Managers, ensuring regular site visits and visibility.
- Ensure all sites are compliant with statutory requirements and inspections are completed on time.
- Provide structured onboarding, training, and development for new and existing managers.
- Set clear objectives, conduct regular one-to-ones, and lead mid-year and annual performance reviews.
- Promote good attendance, manage absence effectively, and address performance issues promptly.
- Cascade key business updates and foster a culture of compliance and collaboration.
Service Delivery & Compliance:
- Ensure services are delivered in line with contractual KPIs, SLAs, and budgetary constraints.
- Monitor and analyse contract performance, sharing insights with site teams.
- Ensure all team members operate in line with company values
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- A recognised technical or FM qualification (HNC/HND desirable).
- Experience in Hard FM, ideally in a custodial or multi-site environment.
- Strong people management and leadership skills.
- A solid understanding of commercial contracts, budgeting, and compliance.
- IOSH Managing Safely and knowledge of health and safety legislation.
- Excellent communication, planning, and customer relationship management skills.
- All candidates will be subject to Full Enhanced Level 1 clearance and Satisfactory references.
- Valid UK driving licence
