Assistant Site Manager – Residential Developer
Location: Weymouth
Pay: £180–£230 - DOE per day (Umbrella)
Start: ASAP

About the Role
We are seeking a driven Assistant Site Manager to join a reputable residential developer delivering a multi‑phase housing scheme. With several phases running concurrently, the project includes properties at groundworks, internal build stages, and final finishes across a varied mix of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes.
Working closely with the on-site Senior Site Manager and reporting into the Project Manager, you will play a key role in the day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the smooth running of the development and maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily management of site operations across multiple build stages
  • Support coordination of trades, subcontractors, and deliveries
  • Ensure site safety standards and compliance are upheld at all times
  • Monitor build progress and report updates to the Senior Site Manager and Project Manager
  • Assist with quality checks, snagging, and ensuring work meets specification
  • Maintain accurate site records and support project documentation processes
  • Help drive productivity and ensure project timelines are met
Requirements
  • SMSTS qualification (essential)
  • First Aid at Work (essential)
  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or strong background in residential construction (desired)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work across different build phases simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and NHBC/regulatory standards
