Assistant Accountant, Industry, Co. Armagh, Perm

This extremely successful company, a leader across the UK and Europe, based in Co. Armagh, now require an additional Assistant Accountant to job a successful division due to ongoing growth and internal promotion.
Your new role
• To provide accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders. These will include the Financial Reporting Fixed Assets Lead, Accountants, RTR Senior Managers, Head of RTR, Indirect Tax & Financial Reporting Manager and other teams within Financial Services and the wider business.
• Operating with the Tax & RTR stream, the GL assistant accountant will work closely with the Financial Reporting Fixed Assets Lead, site accountants & key stakeholders to support the preparation of monthly VAT, Intrastat and overhead accounts & deliver on the financial performance of the business unit and subsequent reporting.
• This role is an interesting and diverse role and will suit someone who is flexible and adept at problem solving.
• The role will feed into ensuring that all relevant SOX controls are completed in the area and support to external and internal audit requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a part qualified accountant, Accounts Technician or qualified by experience with strong technical skills and previous experience in a finance team. An understanding of the principles of standard costing in a manufacturing environment would be highly beneficial.
