Civils Quantity Surveyor - Manchester - Strong Project Pipeline

Your new company :

This is an opportunity to join a well-established and respected contractor specialising in delivering high-quality civil engineering projects across the region. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to innovation and excellence, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the growing commercial team.

Your new role:
As a QS/SQS, you will play a key role in the financial management of our projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will be responsible for:

  • Attending pre-construction meetings and contributing to project planning
  • Preparing and submitting external applications for payment and invoicing
  • Reconciling client payments and managing cash flow
  • Pricing variations, design changes, and other commercial adjustments
  • Completing final accounts and ensuring accurate project close-out
  • Producing quarterly internal cost valuations and cost-to-complete reports
  • Developing and maintaining internal costing systems using Eque2 software
What you'll need to succeed:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of an HNC in Construction or Civil Engineering
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
  • A proactive and punctual approach to work
  • Experience with Eque2 or similar costing software (desirable)
