Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Leicester - Established Contractor - Multi-Sector - Hybrid Working
Your new company
Our client, an established and multi-accredited contractor operating across a multitude of different industries, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Leicester office with hybrid and flexible working.
Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans and forecasts
- Conducting cost analysis and value engineering to ensure cost efficiency
- Managing subcontractor procurement, tendering and contract administration
- Monitoring project progress and preparing monthly valuations and cost reports
- Assessing and valuing variations, change orders and claims
- Liaising with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure commercial success
- Supporting the preparation of final accounts and project close-out documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering industry, ideally within the water and/or highways sectors
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 form of contract
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence.
