Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Permanent - Coventry - Water - Hybrid Working - Bonus - Strong Project Pipeline

Your new company

Our client, an established and high-profile organisation based in Coventry operating in the water industry, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This multi-accredited company specialises in the delivery of clean and waste infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects across the Midlands region and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Due to continued success, they are actively looking to grow their commercial team.

This is a full-time permanent position (37 hours per week, Monday – Friday) based in their Coventry office with the option for hybrid and flexible working.

Your new role

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
  • Analysing all costs associated with all operational contracts
  • Managing and reviewing inflation indices and price increase requests
  • Developing and implementing processes that support cost control
  • Providing financial budget, accrual and forecasting data on operational contracts
  • Reviewing and developing cost models to support any changing business requirements, contract renewals and commercial tender activity
  • Providing support and advice to the Commercial Manager and wider Operations Management team as required.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying (or similar) or experience equivalent
  • Experience as a Trainee/Graduate/Junior/Assistant Quantity Surveyor within the Civil Engineering industry
  • Exposure to NEC and/or JCT forms of contract
  • Sound organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
