Your new role
As Audit Assistant Manager, you’ll lead audits for a range of clients, including FCA-regulated entities, pension schemes, and group structures with turnovers up to £250m. You’ll manage audit teams, oversee planning and completion stages, and contribute to client meetings and governance discussions. You’ll also begin to build your own portfolio, with support to develop into a full Manager role.
What you'll ideally need to succeed
- Leading audits from planning to completion with minimal supervision.
- Preparing statutory and consolidated accounts under FRS 102 and IFRS.
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff, providing technical guidance and training.
- Liaising with tax teams on corporation tax computations.
- Attending client close meetings and drafting management recommendations.
- Progressing to manage a small portfolio of clients alongside senior audit work.
What you'll get in return
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Experience in a UK chartered practice, with exposure to group audits, FCA entities, LLPs, and pension schemes.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102, FRS 105) and ideally IFRS.
- Confident communicator with leadership potential and a proactive mindset.
