Assistant Management Accountant job in Trowbridge
A successful and growing manufacturing business based in Trowbridge is seeking an experienced Assistant Management Accountant to join its finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who can quickly integrate into a busy environment and support key accounting activities during a period of increased workload.
Your new role
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will assist with month-end reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and management accounting responsibilities whilst helping ensure the smooth running of the finance function. Duties will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Posting journals, accruals and prepayments
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing variance analysis and financial reports
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assisting with stock and inventory accounting
- Monitoring manufacturing costs and analysing production variances
- Supporting cash flow reporting
- Preparing KPI reports and financial performance analysis
- Assisting with year-end and audit requirements
- Supporting process improvements across the finance function
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an Assistant Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or Management Accounts role
- Strong month-end and reconciliation experience
- Excellent Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Previous manufacturing or production sector experience would be beneficial
