Finance Analyst - Nottinghamshire Derbyhire Border - Profitable growing organisation
We are currently working exclusively with a profitable manufacturing organisation located on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border. Over the past 12 months, they have significantly developed their finance function and are now seeking to hire a Commercial Accountant to lead the cost analysis for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of BOM’s:
- Identify, investigate and report back on production variances.
- Full reassessment of BOM’s every 3 months.
- Analysis of Gross Margins by product and investigation into exceptions.
- Production of product profitability reporting.
- Stock reporting and analysis.
- Supporting production planning and scheduling.
- Budgeting and forecasting support for operations.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations for stock.
- Data analysis:
- Responsible for integrity of Financial data in data warehouse and supporting other business areas in ensuring data integrity to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports as required.
- Assist Financial Controller and Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in the preparation of monthly and yearly closing processes and audit queries.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong Excel skills.
- Experience of providing financial analysis of large data sets.
- Manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential; this role is also an excellent opportunity for those looking to break into the sector.
