As a Management Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing financial operations and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Oversee financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Supervise and mentor a junior team member, providing guidance and support.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data and provide financial insights.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency.
- Provide study support to junior team members, fostering their professional development.
What you'll need to succeed
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in management accounting or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
