EYFS Maternity Cover in Oldham
A well-regarded Primary School in Oldham, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join their Early Years team on a maternity cover basis.
The successful candidate will take part in a handover during the week before the May half term, with the full-time role commencing immediately after the break. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school environment with a strong focus on high-quality Early Years provision.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead a supportive EYFS classroom, delivering high-quality, play‑based learning
- Engage in a structured handover prior to May half term
- Plan, prepare, and teach lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
- Track and assess pupil progress, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with an established Early Years team and support staff
- Uphold high standards of safeguarding and classroom practice
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience working within Early Years
- Confident in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons
- A positive, enthusiastic, and patient approach
- Ability to integrate quickly into a warm and collaborative team
