A leading and expanding organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Central Finance team at Head Office. Your new role
As Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely consolidated monthly management accounts and managing the annual statutory audit process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts to strict deadlines
- Producing supporting schedules and maintaining the consolidated management accounts pack
- Preparing monthly Group Board reports
- Daily treasury management across multiple ERP systems
- Intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax computations
- Managing grant claims and monitoring R&D tax credits and patent box relief
- Group budget consolidation and version control
- Developing and reviewing internal controls and process documentation
- Supporting ERP system documentation and new module implementation
- Managing the statutory audit process and preparing draft statutory accounts
- Ad hoc project work as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Recently qualified accountant (ACA preferred but not essential)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
- Ability to work effectively within a large finance team
- Willingness to travel periodically to other sites
