Are you a proactive, commercially minded finance professional looking to step into a strategic, high‑impact role within a leading independent education group? They are seeking a dynamic Assistant Finance Business Partner to join their collaborative Finance Team. Working closely with the Finance Business Partner and senior leaders across the organisation, you will play a key role in supporting financial planning, performance analysis, and strategic decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Business Partner in delivering insightful financial analysis and reporting
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning
- Provide clear, data‑driven advice to non‑financial stakeholders across academic and operational departments
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable financial model that supports the organisation’s strategic goals
- Help drive improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls
- Build strong, trusted relationships across the organisation, acting as a credible and approachable finance contact
What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical strength and strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be:- Part‑qualified or newly qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
- Analytical, curious, and confident working with complex data
- Comfortable influencing and advising stakeholders at all levels
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of the financial dynamics of independent schools (or a willingness to learn)
- Proactive, organised, and able to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery
- Passionate about contributing to an organisation with a meaningful educational mission
