An established Essex business which is experiencing an exciting period of growth, my client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their expanding finance team in the role of Assistant Accountant.

Your new role

Reporting to the Head of Finance and working as part of a supportive and growing finance department, this is a varied role with duties including:

- Processing employee expenses
- Company credit card reconciliations
- Checking and posting sales invoices
- Supporting with processing purchase invoices, including multi-currency invoices and payments
- Processing employee timesheets
- Supporting with company vehicle database maintenance
- Assisting the Head of Finance and Management Accountant with audit work, month-end tasks and reporting
- Supporting with process review and improvement

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have a proactive and positive approach to learning new processes and systems, combined with strong purchase and sales ledger experience. Knowledge of month-end duties and strong IT skills would be highly beneficial. Strong communication skills with a confident approach to communicating with colleagues across the business will be essential.

What you'll get in return

Starting salary dependent on experience - £32000 - £35000
