Accountant for an innovative facilities management service
Location: Home-Based / Leeds Office
Job Type: Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented accountant to join our client’s dynamic team. This role involves providing efficient and effective financial services, including management of P&L reports, sales and purchase invoices, report production, and reconciliations. The successful candidate will be part of a professional and enthusiastic property management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completion and maintenance of Regional/National P&L accounts and forecasts.
- Management and issuance of sales invoices.
- Production and reconciliation of quarterly FM/System Fees, including Ad Hoc fees.
- Monthly salary and expense recharges reconciliation.
- Updating and maintaining fee charge schedules.
- Day-to-day management of an Assistant Accountant.
- Debtor data analysis and weekly report production.
- Monthly financial KPIs production.
- Overseeing coding and processing of supplier invoices.
- Assisting in the production of instruction/client profitability reports.
- Supporting accurate budget production.
- Assisting in year-end financial audits.
- Producing Ad Hoc reports as required.
- Maintaining professional standards and attention to detail in all tasks.
Qualifications and Skills:
- IT literate with strong Excel skills (including pivot/lookup tables).
- AAT/CIMA qualified (or working towards) preferred but not essential.
- Strong accounting, analytical, and numerical skills.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and interpret financial data accurately.
- Positive and enthusiastic approach with flexibility to adapt to various tasks.
Professional Experience:
- At least 4-5 years of experience in a management accounts or similar accounting role.
- Basic understanding of property financial aspects is preferred but not essential.
Working Hours:
- Normal working hours are 9:00–17:30, Monday to Friday.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during busy periods.
