Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking an Accountant to help support our client's finance team, in a well known and respected charity within their area.

Your new role

• Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers
• Manage month-end close and year-end external audit processes.
• Oversee grant funding agreements and financial reporting.
• Ensure implementation of financial policies and internal controls.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and fixed asset audits.
• Produce monthly management accounts and reports.
• Assist with Board reports and year-end external audits.
• Conduct KPI and ad-hoc analyses.
• Process payroll, salary journals, and statutory reports.
• Manage pension administration.

What you'll need to succeed - the ideal candidate will have;

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ICA, CIMA, ACCA) with 3 years of relevant experience, OR 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in accounting packages and Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge and experience in grant administration and reporting.
• Experience using Sage Line 50 accounts.
• Experience with fundraising databases and in the charity sector.
• Supervisory experience.
