Your new role
As an Assistant Accountant, you’ll be a key member of the Finance Team, supporting the day‑to‑day running of the accounts function while contributing to accurate financial reporting. This role offers a strong balance of core transactional duties and exposure to management accounts within a stable, well‑structured business.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciliations, and supplier payments
- Daily treasury duties, posting and reconciling bank transactions
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
- Supporting the maintenance of accurate financial records and controls
What you'll need to succeed
You’ll be a detail‑oriented and organised finance professional who enjoys working as part of a team and taking ownership of key processes.
You’ll also bring:
- Part‑qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience
- Strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Experience using Sage Line 50 (desirable)
