Art & Photography Teacher – Maternity Cover (Full or Part-Time) + Permanent Opportunity
Location: East Swindon
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time or Part-time, Temporary (Maternity Cover) with potential for Permanent
Daily Pay Rate: M1 to U1 – Paid to Scale

Your new role

You will be joining the Creative Arts department as an Art & Photography Teacher on a maternity cover contract, with the flexibility to work full-time or part-time depending on your availability. The role begins in September 2025, with the potential for a permanent position following 26 weeks in temporary cover.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Planning and delivering engaging Art and Photography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Supporting students in developing their creative portfolios and technical skills
  • Marking and assessing student work in line with curriculum standards
  • Attending parents’ evenings and contributing to school exhibitions and events
  • Participating in school trips and enrichment activities
  • Becoming an active member of the school community

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • UK classroom experience teaching Art and/or Photography
  • A passion for creative education and the ability to inspire students
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Availability to work from September for the duration of the maternity cover
