About the Role
We are currently seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school with an immediate start available. This position will run on a temporary basis through to the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract from September.
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students and nurture their creativity within a supportive and well-resourced department.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and inspiring Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and artistic development
- Plan and assess work in line with curriculum guidelines.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Contribute to displays, exhibitions, and wider school activities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
- Experience teaching in a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge in Art and design
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
- A passion for fostering creativity and student engagement
