Security Design Architect - £700 per day (Inside IR35) – 3-month contract – Hybrid working
Your new company
You’ll be joining a leading, globally recognised financial services organisation with a strong focus on security architecture, innovation, and emerging technologies. The business is investing heavily in AI and secure design, with a dedicated Security Architecture Design team responsible for defining and embedding best-in-class security patterns across the organisation.
Your new role
As a Lead Security Design Architect, you’ll play a key role within a small, high-impact team of four, contributing to the evolution of secure design across the business. A key focus will be on enhancing existing secure design patterns and developing new AI-focused security patterns, leveraging an established AI Secure Reference Architecture. You’ll help define what “good” looks like for secure AI adoption, updating standards and driving consistency across programmes.
What you'll need to succeed
Strong experience as a Security Architect / Security Design Architect, or an engineer who has transitioned into architecture
Proven experience in threat modelling and secure design pattern development
Experience designing and applying security controls across cloud and distributed systems
Strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices (OWASP, NIST, CIS, etc.)
Ability to work closely with engineering teams in fast-paced delivery environments
Familiarity with common developer tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, Terraform, YAML/Markdown)
Exposure to AI security or a strong interest in space
