Solution Architect Contract (HR & Payroll Systems) – Paying between £500 to £650 Per Day, Outside IR35, Based in South Wales, 3 to 6 Month Contract, To Start ASAP

Your new company

We are working with a third sector organisation that are starting their Transformation Programme, with data ready for Stage 1. This strategic initiative focuses initially on HR and Payroll systems, followed by Finance. With sign-off secured and momentum building, they are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to drive the technical design and integration planning across multiple business-critical platforms.

Your new role

• Mapping and documenting HR & Payroll systems end-to-end
• Producing high-level programme plans and stakeholder-facing documentation
• Detailing scripts, APIs, and system connections with impact analysis
• Evaluating integration options including Fabric, ESB, Data Warehouse, Databricks, and Snowflake
• Supporting SaaS adoption
• Collaborating with Infrastructure and Innovation leads

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect across HR, Payroll, and Finance systems

• Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills

• Deep understanding of Azure, SaaS transitions, and enterprise data architecture

• Technical proficiency in C#, VB.NET, SQL Server, and API design

• Ability to assess new solutions and articulate benefits and risks
