*** Experienced Architect (Job Runner) - Esteemed Practice - Attractive Workload - Belfast Studio ***

Your new company

HAYS Architecture & Design NI are working with a prominent name in local Design for their search for a Senior Architect or Architectural Technologist. This well‑established architectural practice is based in Belfast and operates across a broad range of project types and scales throughout Northern Ireland, the wider UK and Ireland. Known for its design‑led approach and collaborative studio culture, the practice places a strong emphasis on quality, context and delivering thoughtful, well‑resolved architecture. With a steady pipeline of work and long‑term client relationships, they are now seeking to strengthen their team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist.

Your new role

You will play a key role in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion, taking responsibility for leading design development, coordinating technical information and supporting junior team members. The role will involve close collaboration with clients, consultants and contractors, contributing to both creative and technical decision‑making. Depending on your background, the position can be tailored to suit either a design‑focused Architect or a technically strong Architectural Technologist, with scope to take ownership of projects and influence their successful delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be a qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist with several years of pseudostratification experience gained within a professional practice environment. You should be comfortable working across multiple RIBA stages, producing high‑quality drawings and technical information, and coordinating with wider design teams. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset and the ability to manage your own workload are essential. Experience delivering projects within the UK or Ireland and proficiency in industrial-size design software will be expected.

What you'll get in return

You will join a respected Belfast‑based practice offering a supportive and design‑focused working environment, with the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of meaningful projects. The role offers long‑term career progression, exposure to varied project stages and the chance to take on increased responsibility as the practice continues to grow. A competitive salary package is available, along with flexible working arrangements and a positive studio culture that values professional development.
