Agile Delivery Lead – Market Risk

Overview:
A global Financial Services organisation are seeking a confident Agile Delivery Lead to drive the re-engineering of a market data approval process.
The suitable candidate will have a background in market risk from front office or second-line risk experience, with an understanding of the fixed income market and products.

Details:

Location – London
Rate - £700-800 Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Hybrid – 3 days / week in the office
Duration - Initially until year-end

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all Agile ceremonies, ensuring the team is well‑structured, productive, and outcome‑focused.
  • Partner with Product Owners, BAs, and Engineers to plan, break down and prioritise work.
  • Drive delivery through Kanban and Agile methods in a complex, data‑centric environment.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks, issues and competing priorities.
  • Support technical planning, solution definition and go‑live strategies.
  • Ensure quality, transparency and strong governance are embedded throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Influence stakeholders across technology and risk functions, promoting modern Agile practices and sound engineering discipline.
Experience & Skills Required

  • Strong background in market risk – front office or second‑line, covering fixed income products.
  • Solid understanding of interest rate swaps, bond/derivative structures, yield curves and their importance in risk management.
  • Extensive experience in Agile delivery, including Scrum/Kanban in complex technology environments.
  • Familiarity with the risk data lifecycle and how data feeds into valuation and risk calculations.
  • Experience with large‑scale transformation or re‑engineering initiatives, ideally within regulated financial services.
  • Track record of working closely with development teams – technical background advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable engaging with engineers and senior risk stakeholders.
  • Ability to synthesise complex data and deliver predictable outcomes in a high‑control environment.
