Administrator – Immediate start - Min 3 months possible temp to perm Nottingham

You will assist in the efficient administration of a national contract providing housing services. The role involves working proactively to ensure best practices within the Property, Operational, and Finance teams, and fostering strong internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain an up-to-date Purchase Admin inbox.
  • Process purchase orders and handle associated receipts via the designated system.
  • Manage ad-hoc orders, cancellations, reorders, and credits in coordination with the operational team.
  • Process payments for goods and services using the company Procurement Card, adhering to Procurement Card Regulations.
  • Oversee the maintenance of storage facilities and liaise with suppliers.
  • Assist in managing utility bills for the national contract.
  • Work with utility providers to ensure correct billing, meter readings, and remedial actions.
  • Handle incoming calls related to orders and billing enquiries.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with contractors and suppliers.
  • Manage gas and electricity top-ups for properties and liaise with suppliers for meter exchanges and tariff updates.
  • Set up accounts for new properties (Council Tax, Water, TV License, Gas, and Electric) and close accounts when required.
  • Provide administrative support to national operational teams, including room bookings, travel arrangements, and procurement for properties.

General Responsibilities:
  • Participate in training activities relevant to your role.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to manage risk and ensure ownership.
  • Manage your time effectively to meet deadlines.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in finance and administration.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good numerical and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
