Our Gloucester-based client is seeking an IT Administrator to join their IT Operations Team which leads on IT strategy, development, co-ordination, planning, project, and programme management for all IT & supporting functions.
The role of the Administrator is to support the Deputy Head of IT Operations and the wider IT operations teams in its day-to-day operations, including providing administrative support to help ensure an effective service is provided.The IT Operations service provides a customer-facing service to resolve customers’ day-to-day technology queries, resolve issues and manage incidents, problems and service requests through to resolution. The post holder will be part of the core hub that will manage real-time communications with customers on the current status of IT and Clinical Systems and Operations, liaising directly with any other team as required.
Responsibilities
- To liaise with colleagues within the team and wider organisation verbally, virtually and via email around various IT queries and requests.
- Arrange, plan and take comprehensive minutes at departmental meetings, to circulate meeting minutes.
- Organising and checking user appointments through the ITSM (IT Service Management) tool.
- Supporting the IT Operations team to provide efficient support to the trust’s service users, ensuring requests and incidents are updated throughout the ticket lifecycle within the ITSM tool.
- IT Equipment deliveries to any of the GHC sites, driving licence required.
- The post holder may also be required to complete basic IT equipment set-ups.
Person Specification
- Experience in a similar role, together with relevant experience in IT support, project tools and environments.
- Good keyboard and Microsoft Office skills.
- Working knowledge of office procedures
- Experience of Service Desk Support tools, such as incident/service request management
- Proven organisational and administration skills.
- Good stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate with staff in all disciplines and at all levels
- Good verbal and telephone communication skills
