Assistant QS- Growing private residential developer - Sevenoaks £competitive

Your new company - a growing privately-owned residential developer based in West Kent, specialising in high-quality, traditionally built private housing schemes, now seek an assistant QS to expand the busy commercial team. With five active projects currently underway and more in the pipeline, they are entering an exciting phase of planned expansion over the coming years. To support this growth, a detail-focused Assistant Quantity Surveyor is sought to join the close-knit commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple projects and grow with a company that has an extremely bright future.


Your new role - Working closely with the Commercial Manager, you will assist in the financial and contractual management of three small-scale residential developments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting cost planning, procurement, and tendering
  • Preparing and managing subcontractor packages and valuations
  • Monitoring budgets and cost reporting
  • Assisting with monthly CVRs and final accounts
  • Liaising with site teams, suppliers, and consultants
  • Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures
The role will be office-based with site visits as required.

What you'll need to succeed

Whilst all candidates will be considered, this is an assistant QS role suited to those with up to 5 years’ experience in a similar trainee or assistant Quantity Surveying role.
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is desirable. Previous experience in residential construction is preferred,
Strong communication and organisational skills, A proactive, team-oriented approach and a desire to progress as a qs is essential. This is a long-term role based in the west Kent area. Therefore, interested candidates should be looking for a permanent role and be comfortable with the commute.


What you'll get in return

Salary is negotiable on experience with a guide of 35 - 45k + package. This is an immediate vacancy.
