Administration Assistant

The Post
We are looking for a motivated, professional and helpful Administration Assistant to join us from January 2025.
This post is for approximately 20 hours per week during term time. The working pattern will be 9.00am — 1.00pm Monday to Friday. Attendance during the week of INSET before the start of the Autumn term will be required. The annual holiday entitlement is four weeks plus statutory public holidays, to be taken outside of term time.
The salary is c.£10,100 per annum.
Main Responsibilities
  • Provide a reprographic service, principally for academic departments, Admissions Department, Development Office and Exams, including bulk photocopying requests, and the making up of various information booklets as required;
  • Franking and posting of School mail, including topping-up of franking machine and rate updates and receiving and returning deliveries;
  • Assisting with the compilation of major School mailings and occasional communications with parents;
  • Monitoring of photocopiers, reporting faults and maintaining supplies of related consumables and paper;
  • Monitoring the levels of general stationery held for staff use, reordering as necessary, and ordering any special requirements for Heads of Departments;
  • Providing assistance to the School Secretaries, Medical and Admissions teams: database input, mailings, etc.
Person Specification
Essential
  • Attention to Detail: Pays close attention to detail in all tasks;
  • Time Management: Can work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Record Keeping: Ability to maintain accurate records and manage information systems;
  • Administrative Experience: Some experience in an administrative or financial role to include reprographics;
  • IT Skills: Comfortable using IT systems and software;
  • Team Player: Able to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Pride in Work: Takes pride in completing tasks well.
Desirable
  • Previous experience in an educational environment.
