Your new role

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Supported Housing Worker based in Shepton Mallet (Mendip).

Pay: £14.50 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 4–6 weeks minimum, with potential for extension

You’ll be supporting single homeless individuals with medium-level support needs across two accommodation sites. The role includes delivering safe and effective housing management, progressing referrals, and helping clients move toward greater independence.

What you'll need to succeed

- Supporting homeless or socially excluded individuals
- Working in social or health care settings
- Managing complex needs and challenging behaviours
- Strong understanding of homelessness and social exclusion
- Ability to carry out assessments and develop support plans
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- IT literacy (Word, email, spreadsheets)
-Understanding of housing benefits (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Business insurance for work-related travel
- Willingness to work on a rota between 08:00 and 20:00, including weekends and evenings.
