Your New Role
In your new role as Accounts Senior, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients, preparing year‑end accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, reconciliations, and adjustments while ensuring accuracy and high‑quality output. You will work closely with clients, handling queries, managing expectations, and supporting them in navigating their financial information. You’ll also play an active role in reviewing work produced by junior colleagues, contributing to process improvements, and supporting the wider accounts and advisory team in delivering an outstanding service. The position offers a balance of technical accounting work, client interaction, and opportunities to deepen your expertise within a forward‑thinking practice.

What You Will Need to Succeed
As an Accounts Senior, you will take the lead in preparing client accounts to professional standards and ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales. The role involves overseeing and reviewing the work of junior colleagues, providing guidance where needed, and finalising accounts and tax calculations for senior review. You will maintain strong client relationships by managing queries, understanding client priorities, and adapting workflows to meet deadlines. In addition, you will be responsible for managing budgets effectively, identifying opportunities to add value, and supporting the wider team through mentoring, feedback, and the resolution of technical queries. This position requires strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, the ability to handle a broad client portfolio, and confidence in delivering high‑quality service across all assignments.
