I am delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and dynamic manufacturing organisation located in the Greater Belfast area. We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper to join the dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Director, taking charge of the company’s financial management and playing a key role in the smooth operation of the office.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Director, you will take on a range of critical responsibilities, including:
Maintaining and updating financial records, such as the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Reconciling bank statements to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
Preparing and processing invoices, payments, and expenses.
Managing cash flow by diligently tracking income and expenses.
Overseeing the daily operations of the office to ensure a productive and efficient work environment.
Managing office supplies and inventory, including placing orders as necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping and office management. Ideal candidates will be proficient in accounting software (preferably QuickBooks), as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office management tools. We are looking for individuals with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
