A hospitality company based in East Finchley is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk.

Accounts Payable Controller – Temporary Contract
Location: London (Office-Based) 5 days in the office, 40 hours per week
Contract Type: 3-Month Temporary Assignment with the possibility of a permanent contract for the right candidate.
Hourly Rate: £16.00 – £18.00 per hour, dependent on experience
Start Date: Immediate
An established and rapidly expanding hospitality group, listed on the London Stock Exchange, is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Controller to support its finance operations during a period of growth. With a portfolio of 17 properties across 10 European countries, the organisation offers a dynamic and international working environment.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts payable function across multiple European entities. This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end invoice processing and approval workflow
  • Maintain and update supplier records and databases
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and manage payment runs
  • Support audit preparation and assist with new site launches
  • Liaise with suppliers and train operational staff on AP procedures
  • Produce ad hoc reports and resolve account discrepancies
Candidate Requirements:
  • Demonstrable experience in accounts payable, preferably within a multi-entity or international environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Continia
  • Strong understanding of VAT and foreign currency transactions
  • Excellent attention to detail and data management skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred; candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
